The Foundation for Educational Choice has just released a new report, “A Win-Win Solution: The Empirical Evidence on School Vouchers.” It’s an updated edition of the 2009 report providing a comprehensive overview of the empirical evidence on school vouchers.

Blue Ribbon Implementation Page

In order to keep our families informed we have created this webpage to list all of the pertinent and up-to-date information about the Blue Ribbon Commission and the process of regionalizing Conshohocken Catholic School and Mother of Divine Providence School.

The Archdiocese requested the formation of an “Implementation Committee.” The GOAL of the Implementation Committee is to brainstorm what is needed to bring a positive outcome for the regionalization plan.

Do You hear What I Hear? - Christmas Caroling at St. Matthew Church

St. Matthew Parish hosted "Do You Hear What I Hear?" - a presentation on favorite Christmas Carols passed down through the years. It was held last December 1, 2011 at 7:00 PM in St. Matthew's Church. The students in the CCS Chorus was invited to participate in this occasion.

All Saints Day Celebration 2011

On November 1st our students in grades 7 and 8 did a great job teaching our school about some very special Spanish saints. Thanks to Ms. Perez, Mrs. Donovan and Mrs. Gehman for arranging this educational experience for our school.

CCS First Grade and Second Grade Halloween Celebration 2011

Halloween is a popular time for parties. The First and Second Grade kids had a blast celebrating Halloween last Friday, October 28th. Their Halloween party was less trick and more treat, thanks to all the generous parents who donated a lot of delicious treats. The children also had fun playing silly Halloween games and watched a Halloween movie.

CCS Primary Campus Halloween Celebration 2011

The Primary Campus celebrated Halloween with a special parade and party last Thursday, October 27th. All the parents were invited and watched the children in the parade wearing their specially designed hats, masks and t-shirts. The children also sang Halloween songs to entertain their audience and enjoyed a special Halloween snack right after the show.

CCS Kindergarten and First Grade Field Trip to Merrymead Farms, October 18, 2011

The First Grade and Kindergarten children went to Merrymead Farms for an educational and fun-filled trip last Tuesday, October 18, 2011. The children went on a hayride, picked a pumpkin, learned about Johnny Appleseed, saw the farm animals, went on a corn maze and enjoyed an ice cream treat. They also had a fun time eating lunch at the farm.

Primary Campus Carnival Day 2011

A very fun Carnival Day was held at the CCS Primary Campus last Wednesday, June 1st.  The carnival had a variety of fun activities for the kids. They had games, prizes, arts and crafts, treats, snow cones, and a moon bounce. It was an excellent way to celebrate the end of another successful school year.

The CCS Elementary School kids had their Field Day last May 27th, 2011 at Sutcliffe Park. They all had a blast playing a variety of silly, good-natured games. A good way to end a great school year.

The faith community of Conshohocken Catholic School gathered together in prayer and faith to honor Mary, Our Mother of Divine Hope, for it's traditional May Procession last Thursday, May 12th, 2010 at 7pm at SS. Cosmas and Damian Church.

Spring Concert 2011

The CCS Chorus and Band presented a Spring Concert last May 4th. The CCS Beginning Band performed first on the program.  The beginner bands consist of 4th grade students who are completing their first year in the band program.  Then the CCS Chorus and guest performers from Epiphany of Our Lord, under the direction of Sr. Regina Dougherty, entertained everyone with their beautiful songs and voices. The CCS Advanced Band performed in the second half of the program.

CCS Art Festival 2011

CCS had it's Annual Art Festival last May 4th. The children from Grades 1 - 8 showcased their artistic talents as their artwork was displayed in the auditorium during the Spring Concert. The exhibit featured colorful paintings, pictures, drawings, and sculptures. Stephanie Zakrzewski, CCS art teacher, organized the event.

This dramatization of The Living Stations is a portrayal of the final hours leading to Jesus’ crucifixion.

The presentation is a visual reminder of Christ’s suffering.

CCS Primary Campus Easter Egg Hunt 2011

 

CCS Primary Campus had their annual Easter Egg Hunt last Wednesday, April 20th. The Primary Campus Students searched high and low for eggs filled with goodies, that were hidden all around the play ground. They also had a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny, who gave everyone hugs and stayed for pictures. Everyone had a fun time.
