May Procession 2012

The faith community of Conshohocken Catholic School gathered together in prayer and faith to honor Mary, Our Mother of Divine Hope, for it's Last May Procession last Thursday, May 10th, 2012 at 7pm at St. Matthew Church.

Conshohocken Catholic School students recently participated in their 3rd Annual school-wide Talent Show performance on Friday, April 13th at the Elementary Campus Hall.  The 8th grade class did an excellent job as hosts, production, and stage crew under the supervision of their teacher, Mrs. Gehman.

CCS Primary Campus had their annual Easter Egg Hunt last Wednesday, April 4th. The Primary Campus Students searched high and low for eggs filled with goodies, that were hidden all around the play ground. They also had a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny, who gave everyone hugs and stayed for pictures.

This dramatization of The Living Stations is a portrayal of the final hours leading to Jesus’ crucifixion.

The presentation is a visual reminder of Christ’s suffering.

On Friday, March 2nd, our Grades 4-8 students participated in the Phillies Phitness program with Mrs. Gilman during their gym classes. The Phillies Phitness Program is presented by NovaCare Rehabilitation. The Phillies Phitness is an interactive fitness program with the goal of educating children about steps they can take now to help ensure a healthy future.

Saint Patrick’s Day Parade

On Saturday, March 10, 2012 Conshohocken Catholic School marched one last time, down Fayette Street, representing our CCS Community of Students, Parents and Alumni in the Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.

The Primary Campus and the 1st and 2nd grade Children did a Service Project during Catholic Schools' Week. 

The Primary Campus had a wonderful Christmas Show again this year.

St. Matthew Church

St. Matthew Parish hosted "Do You Hear What I Hear?" - a presentation on favorite Christmas Carols passed down through the years. It was held last December 1, 2011 at 7:00 PM in St. Matthew's Church. The students in the CCS Chorus was invited to participate in this occasion.

CONGRATULATIONS CCS!!!! 

On November 1st our students in grades 7 and 8 did a great job teaching our school about some very special Spanish saints. Thanks to Ms. Perez, Mrs. Donovan and Mrs. Gehman for arranging this educational experience for our school. 

2011-2012 Student Council

Halloween is a popular time for parties. The First and Second Grade kids had a blast celebrating Halloween last Friday, October 28th. Their Halloween party was less trick and more treat, thanks to all the generous parents who donated a lot of delicious treats. The children also had fun playing silly Halloween games and watched a Halloween movie.

The Primary Campus celebrated Halloween with a special parade and party last Thursday, October 27th. All the parents were invited and watched the children in the parade wearing their specially designed hats, masks and t-shirts. The children also sang Halloween songs to entertain their audience and enjoyed a special Halloween snack right after the show.

The First Grade and Kindergarten children went to Merrymead Farms for an educational and fun-filled trip last Tuesday, October 18, 2011. The children went on a hayride, picked a pumpkin, learned about Johnny Appleseed, saw the farm animals, went on a corn maze and enjoyed an ice cream treat. They also had a fun time eating lunch at the farm.

On September 22, 2011, Miss Kaeser and Father Genaurdi accepted a generous donation from an anonymous community oraganization. Special thanks to our donor for their support to CCS.

CCS Primary Campus hosted a special morning event for our Grandparents or Special Person last May 26th.

A very fun Carnival Day was held at the CCS Primary Campus last Wednesday, June 1st.  The carnival had a variety of fun activities for the kids. They had games, prizes, arts and crafts, treats, snow cones, and a moon bounce. It was an excellent way to celebrate the end of another successful school year.

The CCS Elementary School kids had their Field Day last May 27th, 2011 at Sutcliffe Park. They all had a blast playing a variety of silly, good-natured games. A good way to end a great school year.

Summer is here, the days grow longer and the weekends are more relaxing, making it a terrific time to catch up on reading. Summer also provides many opportunities for parents and children to enjoy reading together. Whether your reading goal is to stimulate your mind, get lost in an adventure, or learn something new, here is the CCS 2011 reading list to enjoy this summer.
