CCS Primary Campus Spring News 2010

The entire primary campus participated in the 4H “Egg to Chick” Embryology Project. A farmer from 4H brought eggs to our school in an incubator. The children went up to the Science and Nature room daily to observe the eggs in the incubator and note any changes. After many days of waiting and watching the eggs in the incubator, the chicks hatched from their eggs. They were very wet and tired as we transferred them from the incubator to the brooder box. After they regained their energy and their feathers dried, we took turns petting and holding them.

Last October 29th, 2009, the CCS Primary Campus celebrated Halloween with a special parade and party. It was quite a parade of little monsters as the children wore masks of spooky ghosts, werewolves, cats, vampires, and witches. Each class also decorated special "trick or treat" t-shirts to wear with their masks. After parading, the children entertained the audience with some very scarry Halloween songs. The celebration ended with many delicious treats generously provided by our parents!
