Through grants and the generous donations of our parishioners, Conshohocken Catholic School has a comprehensive, fully networked, Internet accessible computer system and a better than 1:1 ratio of computers to students. With new computers in the labs, DLP projectors in every classroom, an informative website, and smart boards installed in every classroom, CCS delivers a state of the art, multi-media learning environment for its students.

Our school has a full-time, dedicated Technology Director who provides computer instruction as well as providing technical support to the faculty, staff and students. Our Technology Director delivers age appropriate computer skills and technical direction as outlined in the archdiocesan curriculum but goes beyond the requirements to ensure our students are prepared for today’s world and the future they will create.

Our school technology instructor helps  the children to become familiar with Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet Sites and Safety, as well as using Web 2.0.

Technology curriculum in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is based on the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) publication, National Education Technology Standards for Students. All skills listed in the Technology Guidelines come from the Microsoft MOUS ( Microsoft Office User Specialist) and ISTE standards. Guidelines for all subject areas can be found on the Internet at the Archdiocese of Philadelphia website http://www.catholicschools-phl.org/about-oce/technology

Student instruction starting in Kindergarten begins with how to open programs in Microsoft Office, keyboarding left and right side home row keys and spacing. New standards and application are introduced and reviewed throughout the students learning. All previous skills taught are reviewed at the beginning of each school and new skills are introduced as your child/children move from grade to grade. This is a brief description of what students will be doing in CCS's computer lab. Computer and technology will be included into all areas of the curriculum.

Students in CCS Technology class will cover topics from typing all the way to digital image editing and blogging.  They gain an understanding and respect for the Internet as well as knowledge of how to use its resources wisely and responsibly.

Technology within Conshohocken Catholic School is utilized to enhance success by encouraging students to become active learners through critical thinking, problem solving and fostering personal decision making skills.
