Enhancement Programs

HONORS MATH 
Students in the Honors Math Program are challenged to achieve mathematic excellence at an accelerated pace.  At CCS, students are eligible to be admitted into the program in Grade 4 or Grade 5.  The main objective of the Honors Math Program at CCS is to understand the relationship between mathematics and the real world.  Mathematics is integrated with other academic disciplines highlighting technology.

SPANISH
Spanish class is offered bi-weekly to CCS students from Pre-K3 through 8th grade.  Our approach to learning Spanish  consists of a dynamic and exciting experience of culture, dance, music, and language.  By studying Spanish the students at CCS are encouraged to become more aware of the culturally diverse nation in which we live. 

HEALTH AND WELLNESS – DEVELOPING THE MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT
Conshohocken Catholic School recognizes that student wellness, proper nutrition, and regular physical activity are related to a student’s physical well-being, growth, development, and readiness to learn.  Students attend a weekly class where lifestyle balance is reinforced by linking healthy food choices and physical activities.

LIBRARY
Conshohocken Catholic School’s library houses more than 11,000 books.  Our Social Studies section was updated last year, and we are currently in the process of updating our Science section.  Grades 1-6 attend a weekly class on library usage in the traditional library.  In Grades 7 and 8, library instruction occurs online from the computer lab.

ART
Conshohocken Catholic School has a dedicated Art Room and a full-time Art Instructor.  Each grade level has a specified skill, artists, and historical periods assigned to it.  CCS believes that Art is very important for educational and social growth.

SCIENCE LAB
CCS has a well-equipped Science Laboratory designed to enhance student learning and thoroughly prepare them for secondary school science study.  The Science Lab provides our students with real world Science application opportunities.  Classroom teachers in Grades 2 through 8 have lab period each week to utilize the Science Lab.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY INTERMEDIATE UNIT (M.C.I.U.) EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

M.C.I.U. educational programs are available on-site to the students at CCS. A private classroom is used during schools hours to provide tutoring in remedial mathematics and reading, as well as speech and language. Additional services provided by the lU include counseling, educational testing, and psychological testing and services.
