May Procession 2009
The faith community of Conshohocken Catholic School gathered together in prayer and faith to honor Mary, Our Mother of Divine Hope, for it's traditional May Procession last Thursday, May 7th, 2009 at 7pm in SS. Cosmas and Damian Church.
The Third graders came dressed in their communion outfits, the Eight graders wore their graduation gowns, the Sixth graders wore their confirmation robes and were partnered with the Kindergarten children dressed in their Sunday Best as they walked together with the rest of the CCS student body in the procession.
The Confirmation Students and the Kindergarten children laid flowers at the feet of the large Mary statue in the church. Two second graders, Michaella Massa and Alex O'Connor, presented a wreath of flowers to two eighth graders, Melanie Dippolito and Nolan Hurst. Melanie and Nolan placed the wreath upon Mary’s head. The entire school sang songs and recited prayers honoring the Blessed Mother.
The May Procession is always a memorable part of the school year.
