CCS is now Middle States Accredited
The Middle States commission on Elementary Schools is pleased to announce that CCS has been awarded accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. CCS Has met the MSCES Standards for a quality school.
Middle States Accreditation is a process that requires the school to submit a strategic plan that contains two or more measurable goal with Action and Implementation Plans
During the 2008-2009 school years, CCS began the process of becoming a Middle States Accredited School. The entire school community took time to reflect on our Mission and our entire academic program. The school community completed a self study, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of our school.
In February, 2010, having completed our self study, CCS hosted a visiting team of educators appointed by the Middle States Commission. A four-member team visited CCS last February 21-24. The team was welcomed with a Prayer Service and Dinner last February 21st. These visitors spent several days with us and helped us to identify, more specifically, discrepancies among our Philosophical aspirations, classroom practices and results. A stategic plan was then created that assures continuous improvement at all levels.
Accreditation is granted by the Middle States Commision when the self study, pre-evaluation and planning reports reveal that the school meets the standards of the Middle States Commission. CCS was granted that accreditation.
