Confirmation and Communion portraits will be taken in the school hall of the Elementary Campus on Tuesday, April 7 at 6:00pm.
In addition to the core religion curriculum. These activities enable our students to deepen their relationship with the Lord, positively impact their family life, and make a difference in their community. The following is a list of some of these opportunities:
COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS
Several times throughout the year, the school participates in service projects such as food drives, toy collections, clothing drives, carolling to local senior communities, and other worthy causes.
PRAYER PARTNERS
Each Pre-K and Kindergarten student is thoughtfully matched with a 7th or 8th grader as a Prayer Partner. The Prayer Partners work together on projects regularly throughout the year. This is a relationship that is enjoyed by both the younger and the older students. The 1st Grade students sit with their 8th Grade Prayer Partners in church when they begin attending First Friday Mass.
SEMINARIAN/RELIGIOUS VISIT
We are blessed to have seminary students from St. Charles Seminary as well as Sisters from various Religious communities visit CCS and speak to our children on a regular basis. CCS students enjoy this opportunity to learn from tomorrow’s Church leaders.
ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
- Class retreats for sacramental candidates and for the 8th grade
- Class projects such as first grade patron saint presentations
- Confession several times throughout the year, including Advent and Lent
- Weekly Stations of the Cross during Lent
- Living Stations of the Cross during Lent enacted by the 7th and 8th grade
- Prayer services for special holidays
- May Procession
- Lighting of the Advent Wreath
- Ashes on Ash Wednesday
- Nativity Celebration
